Swedish music director and composer, born 7 May 1877 in Västervåla parish, Västmanland county, died 27 September 1949 in Uppsala. He graduated as a primary school teacher in 1898, graduated as a music teacher, organist and church singer at the Conservatory of Music in Stockholm in 1904. He was a primary school teacher in Uppsala 1899–1900, in Söderhamn 1901–07, music teacher at Uppsala private schools 1907–17 and at Uppsala folk school seminary 1907–41 cathedral cantor 1917–42. Colleen was one of the initiators of the formation of Upplands sångarförbund 1909 and Ärkestiftets kyrkosångsförbund 1922, first union conductor in the said union resp. 1909–43 and 1922–43 and board member of the Swedish Church Singing Association and Uppsala Cathedral boys' choir. Among Colleen's composed works are "Kantat vid folkskoleseminariets i Uppsala invigning" (1917) and "Kantat vid folkskolans 100-årsjubileum" (1942), both for solo, choir and orchestra. He was elected an associate of the Royal Academy of Music in 1932.
