Μαρία Αλκαίου

Maria Alkaiou was a Greek actress of theatre and film. Born in 1915 in Athens, Greece - Died 1 January 2005 in Athens, Greece. For her performance in the 1975 film "Φόνισσα" (="Murderess"), she was awarded the first female role award at the Thessaloniki Film Festival. In 1997, she was awarded the Marika Kotopouli prize for lifetime contribution to theater. Her godmother was Κυβέλη. She married Titos Vandis, Βύρων Κολάσσης, and Βασίλης Διαμαντόπουλος (in that order].
