Ольга Восконьян

Born September 21, 1970. Olga Voskonyan is a Soviet/Russian singer, composer and model. Her musical career started by meeting Александр Яковлев in summer of 1987. Soon she began to accompany his group Биоконструктор on tour through the Soviet Union. In late 1988 or early 1989, Yakovlev and Voskonyan began to record songs for Olga, e.g. "Автомобили" or "Дельтаплан". After a video clip of her performing "Avtomobili" was shown in the Soviet TV show "Аукцион - Это вы можете" in 1989, the song became a hit in Soviet discos. More tracks were written and recorded by Yakovlev and Voskonyan for an album that remained unreleased for various reasons. Some of these songs were performed on tour in the late 80s and early 90s. After the separation of Bioconstructor in 1990, Olga joined Alexander Yakovlev's new group Био. Until 1996 she was part of the group as a keyboardist and back vocalist. In 2017, she joined BIO again and one year later her old songs and new remixes of them were released by the independent label Maschina Records on CD. In 2020, her second album was released digitally. A third album is currently in preparation.
