Swedish violinist, fiddler, mandolin player and guitarist. He has played with various groups and appeared on a number of records, i.a. together with the Bluegrass Swedes on the LP "Mystery Train". Together with some Swedish bluegrass musicians, he and Per Kristofferson recorded the LP "Appomatox". It was chosen by Bluegrass Unlimited magazine as the second best instrumental record of 1992. During the years 1976-1978 he played with the bluegrass singer Jimmy Martin in Nashville. During his time with Martin, he recorded twenty-two songs with him on the Ghusto Records label. As a musician, he has participated in a large number of album recordings in Sweden as well as in the rest of the Nordic region. In total, he has participated in over one thousand songs over the years and recorded with artists such as Per Gessle, Totta Näslund, Lasse Berghagen, Agnetha Fältskog, Christer Sjögren and Wilmer X as well as many others. He has been conductor in a number of radio and TV programs as well as at festivals. He has had his own groups "Thomas Haglund Band", "San Antonio Playboys" and "Ragged But Right". For about ten years, he organized courses in ensemble playing with a focus on bluegrass. He also teaches country and bluegrass fiddle.
