Mario Ulloa

Costa Rican guitarist, violinist, arranger and professor. Born 17 March 1965, in Alajuela, Costa Rica. Resides in Brazil. In Costa Rica he studied for six years at Conservatorio Castella, and later in Escuela de Artes Musicales (Universidad de Costa Rica) graduating in 1985. In Germany studied at the Musikhochschule Köln, obtaining the highest diploma of that institution, Concertist's Diploma (in 1990); also studied baroque music in the same school. In Austria carried out studies at the Mozarteum, Salzburg. In Brazil attended the graduate program at Escola de Música (Universidade Federal da Bahia), obtaining his Doctor of Music Diploma (in 2001).
