Kristian Haugers Radiodanseorkester
Настоящее имя: Kristian Haugers Radiodanseorkester
Об исполнителе:
Norwegian dance orchestra founded in 1932, led by Kristian Hauger. It was, as the name suggests, created with the purpose of playing music on NRK's radio broadcasts, who were in conflict with the record industry when it came to broadcasting recordings: one stipulation set by the record industry was that "dance records could not be broadcast within the first year of its release". So their own orchestra was needed to play live music instead, if they wanted to play new music. The orchestra was initially contracted for 20 broadcasts in 1932. The orchestra kept it going under this name until 1938, with various changes in the lineup. Initial lineup in 1932 was: Haakon Buntz, trumpet; Erling Gammleng, Jules de Vries, and Yngve Gundersen, saxophones; Thode Fagelund, violin; Kristian Hauger, piano; Fridtjof Svendsen, gitar; Walter Schubert, drums.
