Об исполнителе:
Born December 21, 1948 in Stinatz, Austria, died April 24, 2022 in Vienna, Austria. He was also known as Kurt Ostbahn or "Ostbahn-Kurti". Singer, comedian and human rights activist. Started his musical career as member of the Austrian folk band Schmetterlinge in the early 1970s. Moved on to rock music sung in the Austrian vernacular with Ostbahn-Kurti & Die Chefpartie (later on called Kurt Ostbahn & Die Kombo) performing cover versions of songs of well known (and lesser known) American country and rock origin in addition to self penned music by varying band members. The lyrics to almost all the songs recorded with "Kombo" and "Chefpartie" had been written exclusively by writer, journalist and radio DJ Günter Brödl. When Günter Brödl passed away, Willi Resitarits discontinued his major label career as a rock singer (also playing the harp) and started performing and recording with the acoustic outfit Stubnblues. Since 2008 he also collaborated with Austrian independent singer/songwriter Ernst Molden. Pairing up with Walther Soyka and Hannes Wirth the quartet issued several albums and had been performing live on stage together too. Their album was awarded with the "Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik“ in 2011. He was the brother of actor and kabarett performer Lukas Resetarits.
