Greg Bonin is a resident of Woonsocket, Rhode Island and has been singing for most of his life. An award-winning vocalist, Greg placed as a top ten finalist out of a total of 600 male singers at an international competition sponsored by TCT in Orlando, Florida in March of 2003. In July of 2002, he was selected by a panel of 48 talent judges as the first place winner in the adult talent competition at the Talent America Finals in New York City. He also won special recognition as Best Legitimate Male Vocalist at the competition. Greg has performed in several theatre productions and has played Capt. Von Trapp in The Sound of Music, The Wolf/Cinderella’s Prince in Into the Woods, Bill Sykes in Oliver!, The King in The King and I, Daddy Warbucks in Annie, Harold Hill in The Music Man and many others. He has also been seen (and heard) singing the national anthem for many baseball, basketball, and hockey teams all over New England including the Boston and Pawtucket Red Sox. As a classically trained singer, Greg has performed in The Marriage of Figaro, The Face on the Barroom Floor, and HMS Pinafore and has had the wonderful opportunity to perform solos in classical concerts such as Faure’s Requiem, Schubert’s Mass in G, and Jepthe. Greg has toured with Kaleidoscope Theatre in their productions of Beauty and the Beast (Beast – they wouldn’t cast me as Beauty), Sleeping Beauty (King Harold), Jack and the Beanstalk (Narrator/The Giant), and most recently The Emperor’s New Clothes (The Emperor).
