Blues singer and pianist, born April 12, 1917 in Monroe, Louisiana, USA, died July 27, 1991 in Los Angeles, California, USA. Nicholson first recorded for the Courtney label in Los Angeles in 1948, and then recorded for Elko in 1952, for Hollywood in 1953, for Imco in 1963, and for Timbre in 1966. He also accompanied blues and rhythm & blues artists such as Ray Agee, Pee Wee Crayton, Smokey Hogg, Jimmy McCracklin, Elmon Mickle, and Big Mama Thornton during the same year. He was also a member of the blues rock group Bacon Fat.
