Barbershop baritone vocalist. Baritone of the 1960 SPEBSQSA International Champions, the Evans Quartet. Joined the group in 1957 and won the gold with them in 1960. Gene was the only winning member of the Evans Quartet that was not a member of the Evans family. He traveled all across the U.S. and Canada with the quartet singing on several different shows including the Ed Sullivan Show. Left the group in 1965 and was replaced by Bob Evans as baritone. Born in 1923 and died in 1984.
