Bengt Rodhe

Swedish composer, music arranger, singer and pianist, born September 18, 1901 in Gnarp, Hälsingland, died May 2, 1968 in Växjö. He studied at the Academy of Music in Stockholm and in Berlin. He composed and arranged film music in the 1930s. He later became conductor in Boden and music director at the radio in Luleå. After that he moved to Växjö in 1947 and became a piano teacher at the music school there. He wrote two symphonies, a violin concerto, songs and an operetta.
