Veltone

(Colombia, 21/11/1998) Santiago Vanegas Tamayo known as Veltone, music producer, DJ and professional musician (graduated from the Colombian School of Audio and Sound EAS) with more than 8 years of experience. At the age of 8, his senses and his love for music awakened, especially for electronic music, pop and rock. His artistic name arose from a combination of the names of his parents (Velt) and the word "Tone" which means tonality, from which the music arises. He began his studies in 2010 at the "Casa de la Cultura Sabaneta (Antioquia, Colombia)" where he spent approximately 2 years. He then continued with empirical practices as a DJ and producer with the help of other DJs and local producers. With the passage of time, he acquired more love for and became more committed to his artistic work as finished high school then studied at the Colombian School of Audio and Sound (EAS), thus achieving his official title as DJ and music producer. He has earned international certifications in electronic music production through the company AKAI Professional. He also pursued a specialization in scratch techniques with DJ DMOE, and was part of the instructors team of The Site Dj Academy for 4 months in 2018. He has spent a large amount of his career DJing private events, schools, festivals, etc. One of the most significant was a DJ tournament at the end of 2018 in the city of Medellín in which he not only participated in, but won Martin Garrix's “Line Up” event, allowing him to share the stage with a great artist of international stature and with DJ Mosca. He also had the privilege of sharing the stage with national artists such as DJ Miller, Pablo Lopera, Steve Aguirre, and Velza & Loudness, among others. For the last two months of 2019, he was able to consistently stay in the largest “Talent Pool” in the world for electronic music (Spinning Records Talent Pool) achieving the following results: - Egyptian Drum, position #1 - Climax, position #1 - Break it, position #6 Adding more than 85,000 reproductions with the 3 demos worldwide from his SoundCloud account. In 2020 he founded the record label "Épical Tune Records", with which he seeks to promote commercial electronic music worldwide. Currently he continues working on musical projects, aware of new opportunities.
