Guitarist, ex-Music Director and radio host at WFMU. Brian was a member of The Mad Scene which also includes Hamish Kilgour from the Clean, and Georgia Hubley of Yo La Tengo. Their LP release "Blip" (Siltbreeze Records) came out in 2012, produced by Sonic Boom (2) of Spacemen 3. Brian has also been in Jowe Head (Swell Maps/Television Personalities) band stateside. Played guitar on Psychatrone Rhonedakk's "Qbico" LP, plus untitled project recorded with Marlon Kasberg from Liquorball, Ben Wolcott of To Live and Shave in L.A./Frosty/Oscillator, and Don Bolles from the Germs/45 Grave/Vox Pop/Fancy Space People. Also guitarist in Äss, an "Electric Eels/Monoshock inspired classic rock covers band" fronted by Andy Kman, who performed 1999-2000, then reunited for one show in 2013 which included Sonic Youth drummer Steve Shelley (which also featured Eminence Front on the bill, a band that did an extended cover of the Who song). The band's early 1999 performance on Terre T's Cherry Blossom Clinic was issued as a cassette "6809285" on Ba Da Bing! Records in 2014.
