Nick Phillips (10)

Nick Phillips was confirmed Nov. 20 1998 as chairman of Warner Music U.K. (effective Jan. 1). He has spent the past five years as managing director of Universal Music U.K., following a 14-year stint in the publishing sector, at MCA Music and, before that, at EMI and ATV. Phillips left Universal in ambiguous circumstances in October, when it was assumed that he was Warner-bound.
