Burt Houde

Canadian (Québec) singer, guitarist and songwriter born on July 25, 1937 in St-Gérard (Comté de Wolfe) and died November 27, 2005 in Sherbrooke (age 68). Tenth child in the family of Mr. Adelard Houde and Ms. Regina Gendron. His mother played the harmonium, his father played the violin. In 1955 he met Jimmy James (8), who hired him and taught him to play guitar. He later played for Lévis Bouliane and it was there that he began to write songs. He then formed his own band called the "Black Jacks" which became the "Dad-y-O'S"
