Wyker & Denny Green The Magnificent Seven were based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and played together in 1965/1966. Their only and great 45 came out on New Groove Records. "For Today and Tomorrow" is the brilliant very danceable and moody flip to "Farmer John". The recording was done at Ed Boutwells early "Church" studio in Birmingham, Alabama. Only 100 copies were pressed by the band used to book and promote the band locally. According to Tommy the record was very successful in that it was played on local radio stations. The Magnificent Seven played a few gigs in 1965 -1966, playing in Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Tennessee & Georgia. In the Summer of 1966 the complete band flew to New York to record a song for Columbia Records . "Let Love come between us" was the song, but the name had to be changed to the "Rubber band" as there was already a Magnificent Seven with a national release.
