Shirley Richards

American singer. Born 1924 St. Louis, Missouri Died August 25, 2001 Affton, Missouri (age of 77). She sang lead with Ted Weems And His Orchestra in the late 1940's. She began singing when she was only four with an orchestra in St. Louis and in stage shows by the age of eight. She also sang with Chuck Foster & His Orchestra and Orrin Tucker And His Orchestra for several years. She came back to St. Louis and sang with the Joe Shirmer Trio and Billy Blair & Co. She also performed occasionally with Russ David. She retired from singing in 1965.
