James Fankhauser

American choral conductor, tenor, and educator, born in 1939. B. Mus. from Oberlin College Conservatory, M.A. in Musicology from the University of California at Berkeley, Fulbright Scholarship at Oxford and the Royal Academy of Music, London. 1973 - assistant director of Aspen Choral Institute under Metropolitan Opera conductor, John Nelson. 1973 - appointed conductor and director of Vancouver Cantata Singers. Professor of Music at the University of British Columbia and director of the University Singers.
