Thomas Kretschmer

German guitarist. Born on 10 August 1948 in Fulda, Germany. Died 21 March 2023. Carola Kretschmer played guitar on Udo Lindenberg’s second album “Daumen im Wind” in 1972. After a brief stint with Frumpy, she replaced Karl Allaut in Lindenberg’s Panikorchester in 1973 (until 1980). After moving to Munich, Kretschmer played with Central Park (7) and Quartetto (2) and accompanied Stefan Waggershausen. In the late 1990s, after years of crisis and the realization that she was born in the wrong body, Kretschmer decided to undergo gender reassignment surgery in 1999. She returned to Lindenberg in 2001 and played with Carsten Bohn's Bandstand in between.
