Don McGuire

American actor, director, screenwriter, and producer and songwriter. Born February 28, 1919 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Died April 13, 1999 (age of 80) in Los Angeles, California, USA. He was a 1983 Nominee Oscar for Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen for co-writing the film Tootsie with Larry Gelbart. He won the Screenwriters Guild Awards for his work on that film and for his film adaption of Bad Day at Black Rock (1955). He wrote the song "Hear Me Good" for his film by the same name.
