Opus 37

Vocal ensemble created in 1991 by Jean Vonnet in Tours (France). Opus 37 is a chamber choir with a voluntarily limited number of singers (around 27), which claims the eclecticism of its repertoire, carries out important vocal technique work and participates in creation projects with young composers as well as exchanges with professional musicians. They give numerous concerts drawing on a large repertoire of sacred and secular music, from the 16th to the 20th century. They also made several tours abroad in Sweden, United States and England. In January 2005, Isabelle Cormerais has taken over the direction of the ensemble, after Jean Vonnet.
