The Gardenias (5)

1950s R&B vocal group, based in St. Louis. Luther Ingram sang lead, with Archie Ingram, Richard Ingram, Lawrence Witherspoon, and Connie Perry. They occasionally performed with Ike Turner's Kings Of Rhythm. In 1956 they made their only recordings, for Federal: "My Baby's Tops", "Flaming Love", "All Alone And Miserable", and 'You Found The Time"; They broke up the next year.
