Neal Arbic is a yogi, teacher, poet, novelist and singer-songwriter. He was the inspiration for the Bruce McDonald movie Roadkill which won Best Canadian Feature Film at the 1989 Toronto International Film Festival. The film was based on Neal abandoning a burgeoning music career with his band A Neon Rome for a spiritual quest. Neal is well-known as the author of Yoga for the Soul and a series of CDs on meditation and yoga. In 2010, after a 20 year absence, Neal once again began releasing his music to the world in a series of eight CDs: Dream Lotus vol. 1 through 8 - featuring an imaginative realm with rock bands that include members of Blue Rodeo and Broken Social Scene to ballads featuring classical musicians. From ragas to rock, from psychedelic to folk, the purpose of the Dream Lotus series is to open the doors of the imagination.
