François Borne (3)

Curently based in Lille (France), François Borne took up a few bass guitar lessons and played in a few new wave bands in the early 1980's (The Lucy's Dream, Buzz, ...). He began playing guitar by himself circa 1988 as an accompaniment to his songs. He sings in english and in french. Following numerous other musical experiences (Flesh Opera, Sister Friction, La Cour des Miracles, Vera Clouzot). In 1993, he met the urban stencil artist and also musician Jef Aérosol with whom he founded the pop/folk duo Open Road, still active today as a four persons band, they were joined by French Béhar on drums and Kelu Abstract on bass.. François Borne has performed solo since 1996 and still remains faithful to a certain idea of the Anglo-Saxon songwriting, which he always liked. Today, he shares his musical activities between his solo projet "Warp Music Community" (New wave, Electro pop), the duo Open Road and (Folk, Pop), since january 2019, the new wave trio Ultranova.
