Jonathan Cactus Man

Jonathan Saldanha or HHY Scumclash, is one of the individual entities lurking in the engine room of the Porto-based SOOPA collective and Mécanosphère. A multi-specter instrumentalist and producer, Jonathan is a part of numerous bands ( such as Mécanosphère, F.R.I.C.S., United Scum Soundclash, Fujako, Herzbeat Hotel, FacaMonstro and Çuta Kebab and Party), working also on various projects and on music released under his own name, namely in ongoing collaborations. HHY Scumclash bring's together, the multiple aspects of his sonic and al-khimia obsessions, which can be found, in one form or another, in all of the collective projects he takes part in. What can be said is that it sounds like a landslide of broken tapes, who embrace the sound of Ra, with voodoo and Carnatic mental drones.
