BabsGinger

BabsGinger was formed in 2002, consisting of two Swiss songwriters Babs and Res. Their songs are a mix of pop and rock with elements of jazz and blues. BabsGinger aim to put melody and lyrics in the center of their music as well as using authentic instruments without many add ons. In 2011 the decision was made to record some of the work that had been amassed, but it wasn’t until 2013 that the record button was first pushed. Valentino Slovic joined BabsGinger to record the drums whilst L.C. Elsasser provided the bass lines. In winter/spring 2014 the vocals and piano were recorded by Babs and Res added the guitar sounds in Berne and Grenchen, Switzerland. The album was released on October 17, 2014. Babs continued her musical journey by herself and joined different bands and projects in the upcoming years. On October 20, 2017 the single “Silence” was released. It shows the musical change of the Swiss Singer/Songwriter and accentuates her strengths of honest and soulful lyrics combined with unique and warm vocals.
