Martina Schobersberger completed her studies with honours at the Bucknerkonservatorium Linz (organ with Prof. August Humer) and taught for the official Music School of Upper Austria.Following studies in historical organ at the University of Music in Trossingen (Germany) under Andrea Marcon she went on to study at the world renowned Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (Basel, Switzerland) studying organ with Jean Claude Zehnder, harpsichord with Andrea Marcon and completed her studies with diplomas. During this time Martina Schobersberger was organist of St. Mary's Church in Olten, Switzerland. As a member of the Austrian Baroque Company, as a soloist and as an ensemble musician with various orchestras and smaller ensembles, she performs regularly in major international cities and festivals. Martina Schobersberger teaches at the Anton Bruckner University in Linz. Her career has also included research into the performance practice of medieval music for organetto (portative organ). She is organist at the Ursuline Church and the Church of Sacred Heart in Linz. Martina Schobersberger has made various radio broadcasts and CD recordings (Sony Music, Claves, ORF Edition Alte Musik and others). In 2004 she recorded her first organ solo CD in Upper Austria on two historical instruments from the Renaissance and Baroque periods. She is invited regularly to masterclasses for Early Music and is working as a project manager for the Austrian Baroque Company.
