Swedish opera singer (mezzo-soprano), born January 15, 1969 in Stockholm. Treichl studied at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm and the Opera Academy in Stockholm. She has played the roles of Sister Helen Prejean in Dead Man Walking (Opera) at Malmö Opera 2006 and 2009 and Hanna Glawari in Glada änkan at Folkoperan 2008. Most recently, she could be seen as Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni at Drottningholm's Castle Theater with, among others, Loa Falkman and Marika Schönberg. In 2007, Miriam Treichl and the opera singers Jeanette Köhn and Katija Dragojevic created and produced the hit Vildvuxet, which was played at Rosendal's garden in the summer of 2007 and on the roof of Kulturhuset in Stockholm in the summer of 2008. In the autumn of 2008, Treichl received the Kerstin Nerbes Scholarship. In 2019, she was awarded the Gunn Wållgren scholarship. She is the sister of the musical artist Frida Modén Treichl.
