Some Few Oracles hail from the small town of Maple Valley, Washington. Ira Merrill on lead Vocals/Guitar, Jim shank on Bass/Vocals, and Steve Gale on Drums. this fearless trio have received universally rave responses at the clubs, cafes, churches, and house parties they've played, from their native Seattle all the way down the West Coast. Musically, SFO have developed a lush garden of melody and energy, combining searching, thought provoking lyrics with emotive, catchy contemporary rock creating heartfelt, original music that people relate to and understand. They have been fortunate enough to share the stage with many noteworthy artists including Grammatrain, Stavesacre, MxPx, Viva Voce, Rose Blossum Punch, Soulfood 76, Crashdog, Seven Day Jesus, The Prayer Chain, Poor Old Lu, Dimestore Prophets, Black Eyed Sceva and with independent artist Wendy Bailey, moonlighting as her backup band through most of 1998. Catching the ear of producer Martin Feveyear (Screaming Trees, Mark Lanegan, Super Deluxe, Tuatara, Parc Boys), the band entered Seattle's Jupiter Studios to emerge with the release that has already received regional airplay, including regular spins on a few Christian rock stations, as well as Seattle's famous 107.7 the End. -HM Magazine
