Gerard Rutger Buisman (Born: Steenwijk - May 17, 1952) was an Dutch folk singer. He called himself a troubadour. Most of his work are country ballades and folksongs in the local dialect called Stellingwerfs, in the 'Kop van Overijssel' (a northwestern part of the Dutch province Overijssel). Gerard passed away on August 1, 2011 at the age of 59 in Steenwijkerwold.
