American actress and big-band singer. Born October 5, 1914 in Portland, Oregon. Died November 8, 1994 in Marana, Arizona. She sang with the Anson Weeks' Orchestra while still in her teens. One of the songs she introduced to the public was the popular "I Only Have Eyes for You". Other songs she sang with his orchestra includ "We Were So Young", "My Whole Day Is Spoiled", "An Earful of Music", "Broadway Rhythm", "My Very Good Friend the Milkman", "Your Head on My Shoulder", "I'm On A See-Saw" and "The Breeze (That's Bringin' My Honey Back to Me)". She also sang "So Sweet" (1941) as Kay St. Germain and The Signalaires. She was a featured singer on the radio programs of Eddie Cantor, Meredith Willson and Jack Carson. For many years, Kay was the radio voice of Elsie the Cow. She and Carson were married from 1941-50 and she retired after they had two children. She resumed her career after their divorce in 1950.
