The Hard Truth

Austin, Texas band consisting of Lauren Hunt - Vocals & Mandolin // Matthew Largent - Guitar & Vocals // John Potter - Electric Guitar. The Hard Truth brings together the songwriting talents of Lauren Hunt and Matthew Largent. Originating from the coast of California, Matthew and Lauren were heavily influenced by the Eagles, James Taylor, Neil Young, the Grateful Dead, and Willie Nelson. The desire to live in a progressive city with a well-supported music scene is what brought both Lauren and Matthew to Austin, Texas. At a small, singer-songwriter venue off Sixth Street, Matthew discovered the incredible vocal talents of Lauren Hunt in the winter of 2014. The two began writing and rehearsing original material almost immediately after their first encounter.
