Umbrella

Norwegian punk band started in 1998. Umbrella consisted of the Moi girls Hilma Nikolaisen (guitar, vocals) and Marianne Medby (bass, vocals), as well as drummer Henriette Akerholdt from Oslo. Lisa Marie Larsen, played bass for a period. They mostly played self-produced music. In terms of genre, they drew inspiration from punk and hardcore. The lyrics had a religious message. The band made a name for themselves in a short time within the Norwegian music scene. They had several successful tours in Germany Umbrella released a full-length "Highway To Helsinki". This was printed in 500 copies. They participated in some compilation albums, such as "Stiff nipples".
