Tom Palamone

Barbershop lead vocalist. Lead of the 1948 SPEBSQSA International Champions, the Pittsburghers. Won the gold with them in 1948 and switched to tenor of the quartet in 1955 when Harry Conte left and when Tom O’Malley joined. Continued to sing tenor with the group after it was changed to the Pittsburgh Four until Tom O’Malley’s death in the 1980’s. Tom was the only original member of the Pittsburghers to live to the quartet’s 50th anniversary of winning the gold. Born in 1916 and died in 2011.
