Gladys María Pratz

Gladys María Carrillo De Vizcarra (Born in Piura, Catacaos, Perú in 1928), outstanding Peruvian poet and composer, whose artistic vein represents love. She is the daughter of a father born in Mallorca, Spain. Andrés Bisellach Figuerola and her Peruvian mother, Gerardina Carrillo Prado. Born in the department of Piura, in northern Peru . The poetry of Gladys María has and preserves two fundamental parameters: The divine and man. She is married to Godfrey Vizcarra Smith, with whom she has two daughters, Patricia and Catalina Vizcarra Bisellach. Almost totally self-taught, she studied scenic art looking for paths. Her artistic work of poetry, songs and cultural promotion has come to be recognized. "Soy Mujer". It is her most read, most sought, most appreciated poem. It is a complete manifestation that is not in any of her books, but in anthologies. The famous waltz "Como Una Rosa Roja", a classic of the song heard in different parts of the world, sung by the late Peruvian singer Lucha Reyes.
