Australian rock band from Canberra, ACT, formed in 2009. Activate Jetpack are a post-grunge, pop-punk powerhouse hailing from Canberra, Australia. Their repertoire is inspired by 90s grunge, modern alternative metal, sci-fi movies, and the video games of a bygone era. Formed in 2009 by singer/songwriter Chaz Lewis, their self-produced, self-titled debut album was well-received following its release in March 2010. Independently produced music videos for the singles "Frenemies" and "We're Alone" both received airplay on Channel Ten's Landed Music show. Two years later, a new lineup, including co-writer & bassist Robbie McCredie-Dickinson, released their second album entitled The Future You Fear, featuring heavier guitars and a rejuvenated rhythm section with a more aggressive identity. Teaming up with vocalist/drummer Dan Cooke in 2013 to co-produce the band's third album, titled Ctrl Alt Defeat, the group pushed boundaries to create their most sophisticated and heaviest album.
