Anna Maestri

Anna Maestri (January 7, 1924 Mantua, Lombardy, Italy - March 4, 1988 Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy) was an Italian actress. He made his stage debut in 1945, at the end of the Second World War, with William Shakespeare's Sogno di una notte di mezza estate and Noël Coward's Spirito allegro alongside Rina Morelli and Paolo Stoppa. Very active also in the cinema, she interpreted numerous brilliant genre films, especially alongside Totò, Gino Cervi and Valentina Cortese. Her most significant participation was in the film Riso amaro of 1949. In 1963 she was awarded the San Genesio prize for best female interpretation in Otto donne by Robert Thomas.
