The Safari Sound Orchestra (OSS) was a historic dansi music orchestra of Tanzania. The leader of the group was Ndala Kasheba, who is one of the most popular musicians and composers in Tanzania's light music history. Unlike other large dansi orchestras, which were administered and financed by governmental or paragovernmental institutions, the OSS was owned by an entrepreneur named Hugo Kisima. In 1985 Kisima decided to dissolve the orchestra to found a new musical group, the International Orchestra Safari Sound. Period of musical activity: years '70 - 1985
