Jack Watson

Jack Watson was an English actor who appeared in numerous television series and over seventy films since the 1950's. Also an impersonator, he appeared in numerous BBC radio comedies including Hancock's Half Hour, Dad's Army and The Clitheroe Kid. On television he is perhaps best known for playing Elsie Tanner's first lover in the long-running soap opera Coronation Street on and off between 1961 and 1984. Born: 14th May 1915 in Thorney, Cambridgeshire, England. Died: 4th July 1999 in Bath, Somerset, England, aged 84.
