Swinging Fishermen

The Swinging Fishermen formed in May 1983. They were comprised of: Captain Reg Birdseye [vocals, bass, synth, drum programming, percussion, melodica, tapes] Skipper Bob Findus [vocals, guitars, bass, synth, drums, drum programming, saxophone, melodica, swannee flute, saxaflute, percussion, tapes] Honorary Fisherman [and Landlubber]: Sid The Beard [vocals] With the release of 'The Rhythms of Humanity' the Fishermen's trusty old tug 'The fillet of lies' was forced into dry dock for repairs but had to be sadly scrapped. Deciding to give up life on the ocean wave, the amphibious Reg and Bob became full time land dwellers which occasioned a name change to The Charlesworths.
