Krishna Goineau was born in Sri Lanka in 1963. His parents were European beatniks; a German mother and a French father. He grew up in Germany, France and Spain. He spent his youth in the 1970s in Barcelona, where he met Javier Hernando in 1978 to found the post-punk group Xeerox. In 1981 Goineau moved to Düsseldorf, where he met Chrislo Haas and Beate Bartel, who already were recording together as CHBB. He became the singer of their joint project Liaisons Dangereuses, recording in Conny Plank’s studio. After his time with Liaisons Dangereuses he was 20 years old and went to Taiwan to learn shadow boxing (Tai-Chi-Chuan) with Maitre Wang. At the second half of the 1980s Krishna Goineau lived in Brussels and became the singer and keyboardist of the groups Metropakt (1985) and Velodrome, together with Jordi Guber (Lineas Aereas). After working for a long time with a Tascam 4-track-tape-recorder he discovered Atari, Steinberg and synth software around 1987 while working with Jordi Guber. In France, he studied at the Narbonne Conservatory in the jazz section and learned the guitar. He was also working and recording with Victor Sol (Lars Müller) in Barcelona on a project they had together from 1998. Around 2002 he was living in La Désirade, part of Guadalupe in the Caribbean. More recently Goineau has been living very secluded in the south of France and concentrates mainly on his painting. In 2007/2008 he worked at home, at the ocean front, with analog synthesizers and a home computer system on a series of songs that never were released, until Bureau B made a selection of these lost recordings available on the album "I Need A Slow". All songs were written and recorded by Goineau himself.
