Sten Envik

Swedish pianist and conductor, born 21 February 1927 in Sundsvall, died 18 November 1971 in Stockholm. He was employed in 1960 as a rehearser at the Royal Theater and in 1969 was given the role of head of studies with the main responsibility for the rehearsal work both in the daily work and before the premieres. Envik was also active as an accompanist on piano and harpsichord, among other things at the Drottningholm Theater and at concert performances together with the Opera's soloists. In 1971 he was awarded a scholarship from the association Drottningsholmsteaterns vänner. He appeared in 1966 in a role as a musician in Vilgot Sjöman's film Syskonbädd 1782.
