Born in Mobile, AL. He came to Memphis in 1987 to attend Rhodes College where he hooked up with local art-rock outfit Neighborhood Texture Jam. He recorded and toured with the band for a several years before its breakup in 1995. Went to dental school and balances his dental practice with session work and live perforemances.
