The Script (2)

SCReening IPT - founded under the name the script - is an interdisciplinary project between greta christensen aka vinyl horror (dk) and dr.nexus (de) with focus on sound and sculpture. dependent from the location and situation the work is sometimes presented as an installation looping endlessly or is set up with the purpose of presenting script in the length of a concert. both ways appearing very chaotic. it is a complex system of meters of wires connecting inventions and modified hi-fi equipment with rhythm-machines, radios and effects. turntables with up to four pick-ups, running left and right, pitchable down to zero. tape decks with many toneheads, playable in both directions; transmitted and received from radios; recorded, sampled, transmitted again - sometimes formed by a rhythmsynthesizer - send through feedback loops; effects effecting themselves. analog mixed with digital: vinyl horror mixed with dr.nexus. in both sculpture and concert the music has a concrete existence decided from the equipment build to produce it and it is mixed together with samples and rhythms into a dark and atmospheric sound experience.
