Billie Organ

Drummer from Kansas City, Missouri (born November 2nd, 1941 - died September 20th, 2021) who played in the early 60s Kansas City rock groups The Bygones and The Holidays and later the blue-eyed soul group The Roulettes with his brother Danny Organ. The Roulettes traded band members with Omaha, Nebraska group The Stragglers where he met and helped teach Buddy Miles how to play drums. He later moved to California playing in the house band at the 49er Club and The Showcase Club. He turned down an offer to play drums on the TV show Shindig. Billie was drafted to serve in Vietnam and when he returned home to Kansas City, he started the band American Sound Ltd. with his brother Danny. He is father to Alex Organ, Nick Organ and Jason Gerken.
