Brendan Mulkere

Irish fiddler, multi-instrumentalist, and teacher born in Crusheen, County Clare. Moved to London, UK, in the early 1970s. In 1983, founded the London-Irish Commission for Culture and Education, which ran Síol Phadraig, the month-long London-Irish arts festival, from 1985 to 1993. One of the great bearers and teachers of Irish traditional music, he taught multiple instruments to many London Irish musicians over the decades. Returned to County Clare in 2015, passed away in 2020, aged 73.
