Human Buoy were nominated for ‘Most Popular New Act’ in the 2016 WAMi awards and the debut album 'Animation Station' was released in June '17. Human Buoy is the project of Perth-based musician Ben McDonald. Ben has been a session bass player for the last 4 + years, lending a hand to bands such as Pond, Meg Mac, Shiny Joe Ryan, Peter Bibby, The Love Junkies, Grace Woodroofe and Boat Show. He was a member of local Perth bands Dream Rimmy, Sugarpuss and Sonpsilo Circus. He currently plays bass for Katy Steele in between teaching music and producing Human Buoy tracks. Netflicks is the first taste of Human Buoy's forthcoming EP set for release before the end of 2021.
