Tony Archer

English jazz double-bassist, born 14 July 1938 in Dulwich, UK. He was prominent on the British jazz scene from 1961 until the early 2000s. His most famous association is with pianist Tony Lee (5), of whose trio he was a member from the early 70s until Lee’s death in 2004 and with whom he regularly accompanied international artists at Ronnie Scott’s.
