Dick Jones was the west coast recording supervisor and an A & R man for Columbia records between November, 1947-April, 1948. He left Columbia for Capitol records during the Petrillo recording ban. He helped expand the A & R wing of Capitol in the early 1950s. He produced albums in the popular catalog, but eventually focused on classical releases.
