Walter C. Allen

Jazz writer and discographer, born November 2, 1920 in New York, died December 23, 1974 in Point Pleasant, N.J. Wrote bio-discographies of King Oliver and Fletcher Henderson, served on the advisory committee of the Institute of Jazz Studies at Rutgers University, where he was also a teacher of ceramics engineering 1964-1974.
